Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Elspeth had the idea of holding a coffee morning in aid of Georgie's Genes and has very generously agreed to host it too! We want to give some of the great mums at our kids' school a chance to get together for a chat over some coffee and cakes.

Georgie has just started in Primary 1 so this is a particularly apt time to do some fundraising for the charity set up in her name. She has a very rare form of congenital muscular dystrophy. It is so rare there are only a handful of other children in the UK who have the same diagnosis, and maybe around 50-100 across the whole world. This means finding a treatment or even a cure for the disease is particularly challenging. The more awareness and funds we raise, the greater chance we have of helping Georgie and the other children like her.

We're doing the baking, so come along for a Monday morning treat! You can use this site to make a small donation or bring cash on the day.
