Story

Thank you for visiting our page.

HMS Dauntless Ship's Company will run from Glasgow to Newcastle to raise funds for Ward 26 at Newcastle General Hospital.  The run will take place between Mon 9th - Weds 11th March 2009.

The staff on Ward 26 look after children who need medical and surgical care and specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of children with head injuries and major trauma.  All staff and support teams do an incredible job day in day out and HMS Dauntless WO's & SR's Mess are proud to be affiliated to them.

The following runners will be undertaking the gentle run over some smallish mountains (apparently its really flat!!) and over 'Hadrians wall'.

Ian Buckle, Steve Carberry, Shaun Day, Mark Stokes, Jonathan Lovell, Darran Sullivan, Lee Richardson, William Hastie, Phil Sharkey & Dave Brundle.

75 miles day 1.  68 miles day 2 and a gentle 12 miles on day 3!!!!

If you would like to sponsor us on our endeavours and help us to reach our target for a really worth while cause then please give generously.

HMS Dauntless is currently being built in Scotstoun shipyard by BVT Surface fleet ltd.

The Ship's motto is 'NIL DESPERANDUM' which means 'NEVER DESPAIR'.  Even when running!
