**Update**
Just to let you know the Great Scottish Swim has been cancelled for the year, I will however be taking part in a longer, colder swim from Holy Isle to Lamlash ( Isle of Arran) on the 18th of September, I shall continue to raise funds towards this event instead.

The Event I'm now swimming in is the Lamlash Splash! a 1.3mile cross-sea swim from Holy Isle to Lamlash pier on the Isle of Arran. Sea temperature is usually about 12C.
After swimming in my first of the British Gas Great Swim open water series in the London Docklands in July and finishing 160th out of 5000 swimmers, I have decided to swim the Great Scottish Swim and raise money for the Yorkhill Children's Foundation (Registered charity number SCO07856). All donations go straight to the charity.
