the lowes sydrome trust tuscan 300km bike challang · 29 March 2008

The Lowe Syndrome Charity is run by parents for medical research for Lowe Syndrome (& Dent's disease) families. Babies are born with multiple symptoms including cataracts in both eyes, failure to thrive, weak muscles and bones, kidney problems, cysts & autism.

Story

Dear All,

I have volunteered to ride a bike from Florence to Montepulciano (the Tuscany Challenge !) which is about 300k,  on behalf of the Lowe Syndrome Trust. The trust funds research into Lowe Syndrome, an incurable children's disease which affects the brain, eyes, kidneys, bones and muscles. Sadly life expectancy is short due to the complications of the disease.

The Lowe Syndrome Trust was founded in June 2000 as the only UK charity for the disease with no government support.

With your help we can find a cure for the disease.

My other reason for going on the trip is that there is a doctor in the van behind and and you will notice from the photo , my love of lycra and development of  two right arms.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lowe Syndrome Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Note that there is an option at the end of the process for your name and donation not to be included on the list if you so wish.

Thanks and regards,

Glenn
