Story

Sat 12th May 2012. We did it! An amazing journey. Four punctures, x4 minor falls, large amounts of cake, bread and glucose  drinks on the way

Robin Hollands

Eight Gloucestershire men ( Robin Hollands, Mark Jackson, Mike Conway, Ted Whichelo, Jethro Hubbard, Tom Morgan, Mike Skene and Matt Terrell) will leave their loved ones and attempt to cycle from Gloucestershire to Paris via 5 cathedrals in 3 days to raise money for: 

MacMillan

280 miles in 3 days!

Weds 9th 

1500: Group photo and then leave Gloucester Cathedral. 

2000:  Arrive at Swindon Hotel.  

Thur 10th 

09:00 Old Sports set off from Swindon Hotel 

12:00 Lunch near Andover 

15:00 Early Tea and photo at Winchester Cathedral.

20: 30  Arrives Portsmouth. Visit Cathedral for photo

21:45  Old Sports board ferry  by foot

Friday 11th

06:45 arrive at Caen; Support Vehicle to visit  supermarket to get food etc. 

Breakfast on the way to Livarot.

Lunch on the way to Saint Sebasten  

Arrive Evreux at about 16:00. Photo at Cathedral.

Saturday 12th

07:00 leave Evreux– must be early as possible

15:00  Old Sports arrive in Paris and proceed to Notre Dame. Cycle route off road so we may have to divert onto roads if surface not up to scratch. Photos at cathedral.

Find refreshments!. Then cycle to hotel

19:00 evening in Paris

Sunday13th

08:00 pack car and proceed to station (200m)
