Water for Kids is a small charity which provides safe water for the first time. It works with communities in African countries to dig wells, protect water sources, build toilets and carry out hygiene education. This reduces the spread of diseases and improves the wellbeing of the whole community.

Kate Hall and Michelle Emerton are representing GMW and are taking part in the Bupa Great Manchester Run (10k) for the charity Water for Kids.

Water for Kids is a small charity, set up by Environmental Health Officers, which provides safe water, sanitation and health education for children and communities in developing countries. Find out more about how we work and the history of WfK.

They have provided clean water in Peru, Tanzania, India and The Gambia, this has improved peoples' health and well-being and has saved lives. We are currently working on projects in Uganda, Zambia and Kenya.
