Myself and a very close friend have set ourselves challenges over the next few years to honour my sister Laila.Laila was a determined ,vibrant young lady who wanted to change the world,if you had been lucky enough to of known her you`d know that she had the drive and determination to achieve anything she set her mind on.It is believed that Laila contracted Tuberculosis (TB) whilst teaching foreign students in London,whilst travelling and teaching in South America she was taken ill and two months later was well enough to return to a hospital in the uk.After a long fight which she did with dignity we lost her in july of 2008 at the age of 25.
The first of our challenges is to raise money for TB Alert a charity which helped us through a very difficult time by entering the great north run.The great north run is a half marathon(13.1miles) I would ask tat if you feel you wish to sponsor us in this event which will help a worthwhile charity and help us to honour the memory of Laila.
