Update 5th of April. Reassuring news. The week long break might have been a blessing in disguise. I managed to run for two hours in sunny Hyde Park yesterday. It's going to be very tough on D Day, but at least I am back in the race. Many thanks for your kind and generous encouragements. I'm thrilled the fundraising target has already been met !
Update 29th of March. A bit of a setback. Turns out that there is a tear in my left calf. Probably my body's way of saying that I should hold back on the training. So despite the gorgeous morning sunshine, I've taken the decision to pull out of the Reading semi, not to jeopardise my chances on the BIG day in four weeks' time...
Update 27th March. Many thanks to all : the fundraising target has been exceeded, in a mere 2 days !!! You've done your bit, all that's left to do now is for me to run my socks off on the 26th of April. I'll be taking part in the Reading semi-marathon on Sunday 29th of March, so I will get a feel for my physical state, and whether my ambitious target is achievable...
Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Get Kids Going! gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
My double objective is to achieve a new Personal Best, and to raise a lot of money for charity. Yes, the years are piling on, and we're going through a major economic downturn, so I'm well aware of the challenge ! Please dig deep and support me if you can.
Thanks again,
Guillaume
