The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our fund raising page.  For those people who don't know us already we areMatt Beswick,Michael Leighton, Lucy Cartwright,Melissa Wakefield andEmma Bertouche. We all work for Chess Telecom and are putting our friendship to the test in this grueling challenge.

The challenge will push us to the limits physically and mentally on this exciting three-day competition, on which we will hike, bike and kayak 100 miles across breathtaking stretches of Somerset andDevon, racing against other teams and the clock.

The Challenge begins on the rugged coast of West Somerset, at historic Dunster Castle, navigates Exmoor with its wild scenic landscapes, crosses atmospheric Lake Wimbleball, then continues on through rolling farmland alongside the river Exe to finish on the sweeping South Devon beaches.

The Capgemini Wild UK Challenge for the Prince’s Trust is back for its third year. 270 participants have successfully completed the Challenge to date, enabling The Prince’s Trust to help 397 vulnerable young people to turn their lives around.
