Story

Hi, my name's Gregor. I'm the "g" in go:be. I'm 6 years old and I've been one of Yorkhill's most dedicated customers for every one of those 6 years! Once word got round that I'd come into the world - I caught them off guard as I wasn't due for another month - they sent a private plane up to Inverness to bring me to ITU in the Queen Mum's.

My Mum and Dad lived across the road in Ronald McDonald House for a couple of months so they could come and sit at my bedside every day while I got better. They lived a long way away in the far North!

I've lost count of the number of operations I've had at Yorkhill but I know I've had four major ones. My heart got fixed when I was 6 months old, and then they fixed my digestive system, but I still have to visit A&E every few months, usually resulting in admission to the wards. I usually stay in Ward 4B, and the nurses and nursing support there are great.

My Mum and Dad think the surgeons at Yorkhill are second to none; in fact, they say I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for them.

I'm really looking forward to watching my Dad and my friend Allan playing in the five a side tournament.. but they need to raise £700, for the Yorkhill Children's Foundation. So please - if you can - donate. Thanks!
