Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

On the 18th July 2009 Team Gobi Desserts (Rob, Andy Mills and Kevin Milverton) will leave Goodwood (home of motorsport), West Sussex for Dave's place, an English themed bar in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - 10,000 miles away.

If you're not good with numbers, that's one third of the way around the world and via a plethora of countries most people haven't heard of; and they are doing it minus a support crew; and in a vehicle not terribly well suited for the task.

And that's an understatement. In an entirely successful ploy to prove that they truly are the most daring, adventurous, stupid AND handsome team taking part in the rally, Team Gobi Desserts voted to complete the rally in a Polski Fiat 126. That's right. With an embarrassing 652cc engine and a whole 24 horses under the bonnet this is Polish engineering at its very finest.

Why are they doing this? In the name of adventure and good deeds for good people!

Please donate generously to Mercy Corps.

We really hope to raise a very significant sum of money for the fantastic work this charity does in Mongolia and other troubled regions around the world.
