On October 10th I am going to be running a half marathon - and that's 13 miles! - so this is not something to take lightly. After all, I am not a runner - well, sometimes I run, but maybe just for twenty minutes, and most of that time is spent walking/wheezing/cursing, and never with any crowds to witness it.
Something to be taken even less lightly is the great cause here. I am running for Scope, whose vision is "a world where disabled people have the same opportunities as non-disabled people". We all want to achieve our potential, and the fact that I am able-bodied enough to run something like this is a gift that I don't want to take for granted. Not everybody has that freedom, and that's where I am looking for your support.
