Story
Well - we did it! Sunday 22nd June saw members of our team and their families taking part in our summer charity bike ride.
The sun was shining and spirits were high, the course was a 16 mile circuit, riding along the North bank of the Tyne, under all the bridges, until the team arrived at Newburn. There, after stopping briefly for refreshments, the riders crossed the Tyne and travelled back along the South Bank and over the Millennium Bridge, back to the start.
Cold beers, certificates, medals and goodie bags awaited the riders at the finish line. The event was very well supported by staff, their families and local businesses alike.
Certificates were printed free of charge from Statex Colour Print (http://www.statex.co.uk), goodie bags were donated from The Printed Bag Shop ( http://theprintedbagshop.co.uk/), lollies and sweets were donated from local restaurant Aphrodite (http://www.aphrodite-restaurant.co.uk/) and much more.
Our team have raised an initial sum of £1,042.72 with donations still coming in
It’s not too late to make a donation to this fantastic charity, so please show your support - and book your place for next year's ride!
