So we're acctually doing it! Yes Kate and Goldy are using their highly refined sense of direction and honed mechanical expertise to drive half way round the world for charity!Setting off from London around the 18th July we'r hoping to be drinking Yaks' milk in a mongolian yurt by mid september (and possibly thinking about coming home by then too!).

This site is 100% straight to Save the Children

We have chosen to support Save the Children- Mongolia, who have been active in the country since 1994 and seem to have strong links with the exsisting infrastructure. last year they trained 485 pre-school teachers in up to date teaching methods. They have also been setting up kindergartens and specialist care for the disabled, usually left out of society, including basic education, physiotherapy and parent/ carer training. For years they have been filling the gaps in the social work services in conjunction with a local partner and seem a well established presence in country as well as having a well known UK base.

Before we leave we must have raised at least £1000 specifically for the mongolian branch of Save the Children any help, however big or small, will be hugely appreciated! Once we get to Ulaanbataar (keeping optimistic that the van will survive) we will be visiting two of the projects this money is going to go towards.
