West Highland Way Hike · 6 February 2007

Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Hi all,

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit the site. Dan and Andrew came up with this idea, as all great ideas occur, over a few bottles of wine and snowballed into an exciting idea that is now happening.

We are going to hike the West Highland Way. This is a long distance route which opened in 1980 and is a 95 mile (152km) route from just outside Glasgow to Fort William.

Now, the difference is, we are going to do it dressed as golfers. Plus fours, tank tops, flat caps, the lot. As the idea snowballed and the wine flowed, we also decided that we are going to carry our golf clubs, teeing off on the top of every moutain that we hike.

We plan to start on the 7th August 2007, completing the hike within 7 days and we intend to raise £5000. This may seem a large total but we don't know until we try and are going to try damn hard to reach it.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Breast Cancer Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. If you would like to donate a cheque or cash, please make it out to Breast Cancer Campaign and send to Dan at 11 Vale House, Common Road, Evesham, WR11 4QX.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

All the best,

Dan and Andrew
