We provide a helpline, and webchat service to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

The issues that this charity support are very close to my heart because of several losses that I have experienced. My Dad committed suicide when I was 17 which obviously has had a devastating affect on me and my family.  Then last year I lost 2 friends through suicide. One of my best mates and best man at my wedding, Simon Sharples, died less than a week before Christmas and a good work mate, Chris Macdonald took his own life last year.

Always missed, never forgotten.

I have now been made aware of the charity CALM and would like to raise as much money as possible by playing as many rounds of golf as I can in one day, from dawn till dusk.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
