You may have heard by now that I AM going to run the New York Marathon 2009!!!

After completing the London Marathon in April 2008, I knew I had the bug to do just one more! With a little help from my friends Kim and Isabel whom I will be running with, I decided that I would sign up for the New York Marathon 2009

After signing up and since the beginning of the year I have been suffering with cartilage promlems and have been unsure if I should run. However, after lots of advice I decide 2 months ago that I was going start training like mad and go for it!! I completed the Great North Run earlier this month and managed to run the whole thing. This gave me lots of extra confidence, to say come hell or high water, I shall be running the New York Marathon!!!

Richard and I have dug deep and are funding our hotel and accommodation, as have my Mum and Dad who will be there in person cheering me on.

I have decide to run for the Mental Health Foundation as the work they do is fantastic, supporting everyone from young children to the elderly – I hope I don’t ever need to take on the support they offer but its surprising just how many people do need the help and support of this great charity.

I have aimed to raise £1500, of which every penny will go to the charity. Anything thing, no matter how small will be very gratefully received and will g a long way in supporting me to do the New York Marathon!!! Please donate on line or grab me in person if you would prefer to donate cash. Ooooo, and look out for an event I shall be organising in October…….
