The training has now begun in earnest; Gordon is now down to three pints of beer a day (a good reduction but he needs to keep his fluid intake reasonable) and Maureen is learning to say "NO" to sticky buns and teacakes.....

WE have made it, not only Glasgow to Edinburgh but also some extra miles to give a total of 60.3 miles on the day... what a day. It started out a bit wet in Glasgow but soon cleared to give us sun for the rest of the way.
We reckoned on taking 6-6.5 hours but cycled from George Square in Glasgow to Roseburn Park, Edinburgh in 4hrs 45mins a real personal best for both of us.
