SWIM FOR HUMANITYCHANNEL SWIM 2011

Donate like you give a damn. Give the gift of design to those in need.

We will be swimming from England to France, across the channel, one of the world's toughest swims in September 2011 with long training sessions throughout the year, raising funds for Architecture for Humanity (AfH). A relief organisation dedicated to promoting design solutions to global, social and humanitarian crises. They have initiating projects after disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the recent earthquake in Haiti. Our raised funds will be used for regions affected by severe water disasters such as flooding and tsunami.

AfH projects have taken place in Haiti, Rwanda, Kosovo, Lesotho, Sri Lanka, Mali, United States, Palestine, Brazil, Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Burma, Iran, India Kenya & Afghanistan. Local chapters around the world add to these locations making a difference in their local communities.

For a full list, please check their website

I have left their book in the London House library for residents of Goodenough, It's called Design Like you Give A Damn where they discuss many projects around the world, helping people in need.

We hope you can dig deep, Thank you for your support.
