The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat. It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programmes, and the education of neighbouring areas in the value of wildlife.

Story

Dear All,

I am intending to run (or crawl) a 98km mountain race non-stop at the end of august for charity. The CCC passes through Italy, Switzerland and France in the Mont-Blanc region and includes a positive altitude change of 5600 metres which I hope to complete in around 20 hours( www.ultratrailmb.com ).

I am supporting Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (www.lewa.org ) in Northern Kenya because I believe it provides the right mix of wildlife protection and research whilst assisting in local community development. Lewa supports 8 local promary schools, runs a community healthcare programme and privides a micro credit programme amongst many other projects.

Please give generously, if not for the great charity, at least to see me really suffer.

Thanks

Gordy.
