The Best For the "Least"
APT is supporting Pastor Daniel's vision for a Christian primary school in Gorom-Gorom, Burkina Faso - a school aimed at providing quality education for the poorest and most vulnerable sector of society.

In the academic year 2012-13, the school had a pass rate of 97.5%, and took two of the three prizes in the provincial primary school academic competition.

Progress
The building work on the school has made much progress. All six classrooms, two teachers houses, a block of toilets, a kitchen, and an outside meeting area are completed. The children are enjoying well-built classrooms, shady rest times, healthy lunches, and privacy for their toilet needs.

The outstanding work left is just: three more teachers houses, more toilets, a headmaster's office, a caretakers room, stores, and a water supply, etc. These are key to make this a school that will give a quality social environment as well as educational excellence. They are also important for staff who suffer hardship in order to serve the school in a difficult context. We estimate we will need at least another £40,000 for this work.

We aim to provide a school that will give the best to those often regarded as the least, a place where children can learn and grow in a safe and loving Christian environment. Our vision is for a school, open to all regardless of religion, race, or sex, that will be

  What Your Money Will Do
  We are working on a budget for phase 2 of the school, but if we have enough funds, we plan to provide the school with at least the following:
     * 6 Classrooms
•    * Housing for teachers
•    * Outside sheltered meeting places
     * Kitchen
•    * Toilets
•    * Headteacher's office
     * Caretaker's room
  
•    * Store rooms
     * Water supply
