Over the next three years, Morgan Stanley will raise funds toward the construction of a new clinical building, due to open in 2012. With several sections of the hospital in need of rebuilding over the next seven years, the Firm aims to raise £10mn, a substiantial sum towards the total £146mn cost of the new "Morgan Stanley Clinical Building."
GOSH treats more than 100,000 patients a year and is a national center of excellence in the provision of specialist children's health care, currently delivering the widest range of specialist care of any children's hospital in the UK. It is the only specialist biomedical research center for pediatrics, the largest center in the UK for children with heart or brain problems and the largest center in Europe for children with cancer.
In the past, the European Foundation has traditionally matched fundraising. For this campaign, the U.S. Foundation will also be involved. The Firm has pledged to double-match every £1 that goes to the hospital, until the goal of £10mn is reached. Every donor will be recognized on a wall within the hospital, part of Great Ormond Street Hospital's history.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor this appeal, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
