Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
WE DID IT! 64 miles, a few blisters, a lot of laughs and as you can see a lot of money raised - many thanks to all who took part, all who helped and all who donated.
We invite you to join this event to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust East of Scotland and have fun in the process!
Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity devoted to improving hospital facilities for teenagers with cancer. The trust already funds a special unit in the West of Scotland and is now fundraising for a similar unit in the east, at the Western General in Edinburgh. These units allow teenagers with cancer to maintain some sort of normality during the rigours of chemotherapy and numerous hospital admissions.
The walk will be over 2 days on the weekend 6th and 7th June 2009, appox. 59 miles, walking along the Union and Forth & Clyde Canals from the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh to the West of Scotland TCT unit at the Beatson Cancer centre, Gartnavel Hospital, Glasgow.
A small cohort of enthusiasts will undertake the entire route, with an overnight stop near the Falkirk wheel. Please join us for any (or all !) of the sections detailed on the website www.lynneschallenge.co.uk . The walk is designed so that you can choose the chunk of time and the length to walk which suits you best. If you wish to take part simply get in touch and you will receive an entry pack with further details.
