Capital to Coast Bike Ride 2005 · 17 July 2005 ·

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

THANKS! THE RIDE HAS BEEN DONE! Some simple stats
58 miles + a few to get to a good watering hole afterwards.
10.7 mph average, with some 5 hours 15 minutes cycling. The day was wonderfully sunny. Cheering crowds to greet the finishers in Hove.

I started at 07:25 and finished some 7 hours later. All hills were cycled up. Including Devil's Dyke.
I have ridden around 1,000 miles now since September last year when starting this. Will I be doing this next year? You BET!

MANY THANKS FOR ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED ME

More detail on the ride - a 58 mile CYCLE ride from Hampton to Hove < No Harley on this trip!> can be found at www.capitaltocoast.org.uk I completed the ride on 17th July 2005.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Down's Syndrome Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. I am really excited to be taking part in this event, am proud to have Emily as my daughter and am so glad I can give people with Down's a little something back. I hope you feel the same way. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Graeme
