The Chronicle Rally · 7 August 2014

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Grace Mechanics rally team (Dave Holloway with Neil and Becky Taylor) are competing in The Chronicle Rally in August 2014 to raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital where Dave's eldest daughter Mari and son John are CF patients.

For this challenge we have acquired a classic BMW 316i Lux (as recommended by Top Gear) which we happened to pick up from a guy in Epping whose cousin had died recently from Cystic Fibrosis. She was 16.

Mari has been taking part in the INSPIRE trial which is researching the way physiotherapy is used to treat children with CF.   The trial costs £414,000 over 3 years to run.

We wanted to give something back for keeping them healthy and to continue the research at GOSH for future CF patients.
