I am going to ride 1000km (620 miles) up 65,000ft of the Alps over 8 days on the FireFlies 19th tour in June to raise money for Bloodwise.

Bloodwise funds research for all major blood cancers and other types (Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma to name a few). Blood cancer is the 3rd biggest cancer killer, claiming more lives than breast or prostate each year and it’s the 5th most common cancer.

Bloodwise is helping reveal how blood cancer works, drive smarter and faster diagnosis’s & discover new treatments and care.

I will be riding up some of the hardest mountains featured in the Tour De France and Giro d'Italia back to back. I cannot comprehend how difficult it must be dealing with the symptoms and treatment for blood cancer, nor can I comprehend how families must deal with the life changing news, but I can do my bit to help raise awareness and money for an incredible charity. 8 in 10 children with Leukaemia now survive, previously 9 in 10 wouldn’t.
