I DID IT!
Charity Bike Ride...
I'm rode from Land's End to John O'Groats in nine and a half days and covered about 100 miles a day!
I'll send a report to all my sponsors soon.
Original Post Info:
The route

Day 4; Leominster to Knutsford, 100 miles with 3716ft ascent. Day 5; Knutsford to Tebay, 105 miles with 7360ft ascent. Day 6; Tebay to Peebles, 107 miles with 5521ft ascent. Day 10; Nigg to John O'Groats, 130 miles with 5417ft ascent.
Sound hard enough yet? There may be some alterations due to accomodation but wherever I stop each day the whole journey will be about 1,020 miles with about 55942ft of ascent.
I'm doing this to raise money for Centrepoint. It's horrific that kids running away from home don't know what to do with themselves, that they sleep rough in doorways, that they get beaten up, that some end up being prostitutes or are drawn into the drug trade. Centrepoint don't judge, they help kids pick up the pieces of their lives and teach them the skills to get by. They give them somewhere safe to stay. Your support can pay for safe accomodation off the streets, a place with a door and warm food. A place they can begin to call home without the issues they ran away from.
I'm really looking forward to this ride, it's a holiday of sorts, but I'll be alone and that's tough - and unsupported which makes it physically harder. I'm paying all my own travel and accomodation costs, this is not an organised event and therefore ALL THE MONEY YOU DONATE GOES DIRECT TO CENTREPOINT.
Thanks to you all - Graeme.
