Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I am raising money in memory of Kev Paterson a friend and running partner who died suddenly at the end of last years half marathon. Kev was only 36 and in the prime of his life. As you can imagine his passing was a huge shock to all who knew him and the other runners in the event.
His family have suggested that any donations raised by me and other runners running in his memory go to ‘cardiac risk in the young’ (CRY). CRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to young sudden cardiac death (YSCD); sudden death syndrome (SDS). Their vision is to work with cardiologists and family doctors to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young by establishing good practice and screening facilities devoted to significantly reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death throughout the UK.
