The British Tinnitus Association helps people with tinnitus. It provides a Freephone Helpline, 0800 018 0527, funds research into causes and treatment of tinnitus and raises awareness within the medical community and general public. It provides group support and individual membership options and publishes a quarterly magazine 'Quiet'.

A Picture paints a thousand words!

A great feeling at the end of a momentous day.

Not since my wedding day, the birth of my children, Liverpool beating AC Milan to win the Champions League Final in 2005, have i been so emotional when i finally crossed the finish line in the Mall.

It took me 5 hours 38 minutes and 33 seconds. The weather was appalling, downpours, strong cold winds and hail, but nothing could dampen both the resolve of the runners or the determination of the watching crowds to carry or their support of everyone, young or old, elite or fun runner.
I was so touched by peoples avid support that you could only rise to the occasion.
It is true that sport of any kind cuts through all differences.

I now know why some will run marathons year after year. Especially the London Marathon. The logistics involved in getting 35,000 plus runners from A to B seems simplistic. Only when you participate do you fully appreciate the efforts of all concerned.
I thank you all for your support, it truly did help me when times were "hard"
