My story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We walked 20km on May 10th in blistering heat up and down the South Downs in West Sussex. It turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year and we really struggled in some of the open sections of the walk. Thankfully, we were supported all the way by our brother-in-law Kevin and the excellent JustWalk team and finished with nothing more serious than aching limbs, sore feet and a few blisters (we worked hard to keep hydrated and not get heat stroke).

We have now passed our initial target of £500 for the Parkinson's Disease Society BUT WE WANT TO RAISE MORE! - there really is no upper limit, the more cash we raise the better. Thank you to everyone who has donated or pledged cash so far.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Parkinson's Disease Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now! Give as much money as you can afford - we really do appreciate it!

Many thanks for your support.

Parkinson’s UK

Charity Registration No. 258197 and Scotland SC037554

Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. Because we’re here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependent on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
