Story
Hello my name is Graham Kirk and I want to do something memorable and useful for my 60th birthday,so I have decided to cycle in the Bike MS New York City 2013 on October 6 this year. Incidentally, it is also the anniversary of the birth of the MS Society which is three days older than me!
Why the Bike MS New York City 2013? Well in 2005 my wife Lorraine was diagnosed with MS and since then I have helped her come to terms with the illness and support her day-to-day no matter what the illness throws at us. That is why I chose to enter the MS New York Bike Ride to help raise more funds for MS research and support. New York was an added bonus!
My route will be a 30 mile circle of Manhattan, New York.
I intend to start proper training in April 2013 to ensure I can achieve the minimum speed of 10mph. I will need to raise a minimum of £500 before I can enter the ride.

The Adventure Begins.....
20th March. Right, no going back now, the hotel and flights are booked and deposits paid. We have booked a room at The Hudson Hotel, which is about eight tenths of a mile from the Start/Finish of the Bike Ride; it is also quite close to Broadway!
