My story
As well as a challenge in my drive to maintain a "perfect" physique into my forties I am doing this event for my families and friends who have battled cancer and used the hospice service. This includes my Dad, Grandad (both of wh used the outstanding hospice services in Warwick and Plymouth respectively), Auntie and my brother Barry who, even though he is over ten years older than me, manages to look ten years younger than me!
Please help me reach my modest target by donating anything you can afford OR if not, please consider the hospice organisations and cancer research charities in your future charitable donations.
Thanks.
Graham.

St Luke's Hospice Plymouth
Charity Registration No. 280681
When faced with the reality of coping with life-limiting illness, we believe that all patients should be entitled to the very best care available. St Luke´s has been providing specialist palliative medical and nursing care, free of charge, to patients from Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall for more than twenty-five years. A registered charity, we are passionate about offering our patients dignity and choice at a time in their lives when they may feel they have none. Our vision is to provide the best end of life care to all patients wherever their `preferred place of care´ might be - Hospice, Hospital or Home. The St Luke´s network of care stretches far beyond the walls of the Hospice inpatient unit at Turnchapel, Plymouth reaching out to more than 2,000 patients each year. Alongside the specialist medical and nursing care, patients are also offered practical, financial, emotional and spiritual support. Government funding covers less than 30% of the cost of caring for inpatients. We therefore have to raise at least £3.5 million from the local community every year so the fundraising never stops! That is why your donation and support is so important.
