On Friday April 3rd at 0900 the World stopped spinning - just for a second. Having fought so bravely against his 'ache' Pete decided it was time for a rest.
For those of us who knew and loved him the most, the pain of loss is unbearable but in true memory of a wonderful man we all know that we 'musn't grumble'.
Pete always put others first, so it is therefore only fitting that we, in his memory, built this page so that others may benefit from the wonderful care and support given by the outstanding team based at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester.
Initially we will use the page for donations in lieu of floral tributes and then on 25th May his son Sean will be running in the BUPA London 10k to try to raise more much needed funds.
NEWSFLASH: Race update
After less than 3 weeks of real training Sean completed the 10k in 1hr 16min 09sec. It was bloody hard work but obviously having already sorted out the Gills result on Saturday, Pete intervened again and ensured he got to the finish line.
The next milestone now is the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October - training starts as soon as Sean's back walking properly again!
