On the 24th May starting at 6am I will be taking on the challenge of running one of Britain's hardest ultra marathons.

The Grand Union Canal Race (GUCR) is run from the centre of Birmingham to the centre of London along the Grand Union Canal. Competitors are required to complete the 145 mile distance within the time limit of 45 hours. The event is non stop and I will be disqualified if I stop for more than 40mins at any checkpoint.

I aim to finish the race under 35hours.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the kind donations. Unfortunately i had to retire from the race at 80mile due to a hip injury. Rest asured, I will be back next year!!
