We provide support services and work to reduce the number of baby deaths

Story

In April 2014, my sister Terri and her partner Dan had a stillborn daughter, Isabelle, at 28 weeks. This is something nobody should ever have to go through but on average happens 10 times a day in the UK.

Dan and Terri have decided to become proactive in raising awareness in the local area as well as organising events in order to raise money to donate to the stillbirth and neonatal death charity Sands.

Sands not only provide immediate support to those affected, helping parents deal with the tough questions and decisions facing them immediately after losing their baby but are also engaged in promoting both prevention and research strategies.

The fundraising, which has already raised over £2000.00 from local events, will culminate with  a team of 8 riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats over 10 days in August 2015. That's around 100 miles a day, for 10 days straight, climbing 5000-6000 ft on average a day, (approx. 1-1.2 miles).

We'll be funding the ride ourselves and therefore all money raised will be donated directly to Sands.
