Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page

I think I have finally lost the plot maybe in deciding to lace on those boxing gloves at my age! (I don't think Carl Froch will be losing any sleep over me somehow!). It is without doubt mentally & physically the toughest challenge I have ever done & despite my body aching everyday with all the training, it is all more than worthwhile for a cause that is very close to my heart. We will all know someone, family member or friend who has suffered with this disease at some point, I would really appreciate any donation you could give to help those who really do have the biggest fight of their lives to beat Cancer. Thank you

Update on 22/06

Well it's all over, an amazing night & experience I'll never forget. Walking out to the ring with Dizzee Rascal blasting out & all the crowd cheering was a fantastic atmosphere. Nerves were certainly there though, but quickly forgotten as soon as first bell rung. I started fast after advice from my cornerman, but got caught with a good punch that put me down halfway through the first round. I was straight up though & managed to jab my way through to end of round. I could tell he was tiring quickly though so went on the attack in 2nd round & hurt him a couple of times. 3rd round we were both feeling the pace of what was a tough brawl & we were both thankful to hear the bell to end it. Result was given as a draw & I had certainly given my all.

Just also wanted to say a huge thanks to all my support there on the night of whom kept me going with all their vocal encouragement
