We did it - in perfect weather conditions we accomplished our goal in just over 12 hours.

 

With only a few minor incidents en route, we all made it back tired but elated. There were a few blisters and aching feet, but fortunately, it was a dry stone wall that suffered the biggest injury of the day (apologies to The National Parks from Mr Dixon)!

 

However, the biggest challenge was yet to come for those of us unfortunate enough to have been allocated the top bunk in our Youth Hostel.......................

We are seeking your support in terms of sponsorship and this year we are raising money for Martin House Hospice, Wetherby. 

  

Last year we raised over £3,000 and we would like to make 2012 our best year yet.

  

Alternatively if you would prefer to make a contribution by cheque or cash please let me know and I’ll forward you our sponsorship form.  Either way we can claim an additional 28% via Gift Aid which will make a big difference!  Furthermore we will be tapping the Lloyds TSB Matched Giving Scheme which could provide up to a further £500 per person!

 

I know that requests for sponsorship are commonplace but this year we have again purposely selected a charity which does not get the same level of publicity as many of the bigger names.  Please forward this to anyone else you think may also wish to sponsor us, every little helps!  Although, please bear in mind that someone else might already have forwarded this onto them.

 

Just remember that every £10 we get sponsored turns into up to £22.80 with Gift Aid and Matched Giving!
