Story
Many of us will have heard the word cancer numerous times and subconsciously let the word wash over us with little thought, only really is it when someone in your life prepares to fight it does it make you sit up, take notice and want to make a difference…
In February of this year our colleague and friend Graham Crick, 33, lost his battle with cancer. Gray as he liked to be called, joined O’Brien Contractors in early December 2010, he quickly made his mark with his fun loving easy going nature and his ability to entertain you with stories of his adventurous past made you envy the life he had built up. Gray was a fantastic part of our team, he brought fun and laughter into our lives and is truly missed by every one of us.
So in order to not let this opportunity pass us by we are, all 28 of us, tall, short, fat and thin, pulling on our running shoes to raise money for a cause that is very close to all our hearts.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about why we are so passionate about raising money for Cancer Research. If we can make a difference to anyone’s life that is effected by this terrible disease then I know each and every one of us will feel we have achieved our aim, the aim to make a difference.
