Our team at Great Guns have many personal reasons why they want to run Race for Life 2010 but one of the main ones for us as a team is that we unfortunately lost one of our longest serving members of our team last year to cancer. Debbie was hugely inspirational and fought the disease for 8 years undergoing many different types of treatments throughout this period. She fought like a real heroine, which inspired us all. Even though she was a single mum and held down a full time job she never fell apart and had one of the best attendance records in the business. Debbie worked right up until the end astounding us all with achieving great results for her clients even then. Debbie always said to me that working made her feel more like herself and gave her a different identity to being just a cancer sufferer. We will be running Race for Life with Debbie's sister and daughter and look forward to the day that the money raised from this type of charity event helps to find a cure to this terrible disease that takes our loved ones away from us prematurely.

Our Race for Life event is on Saturday 19th June in Basingstoke.
