Once again I'm doing the Great Yorkshire 10k Run in Sheffield as well, only 2 weeks before the GNR - must be mad! A lower target this year for RNIB as my main fund raising this year is for the Sheffield Children's Hospital and my fundraising target was met, see; http://www.justgiving.com/greatnorthrun2009-chrismorgan-sch . Nevertheless, I hope to get enough for RNIB to have justified wearing their vest again.
Thank you for visiting this fund raising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. RNIB help blind and partially sighted people. Every day another 100 people will start to lose their sight. Your support helps them rebuild lives devastated by sight loss.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me. RNIB receive your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
My training plan is to run to Carbrook once a week. This year I'd still like to get down to 2 hours 30 minutes, under 2:45 would be great - I don't want to be as near 3 hours as in 2008!
The more names I see here, the more incentive I'll have to train - and actually run!
The aftermath. Well, there weren't many names for RNIB, and I didn't run well - just under 3 hours 6 minutes - so should do better in 2010!
With many thanks for your support - this page will remain open for donations until 31st January 2010 - after which a new page will be set up for the 2010 event........................
Chris
Over the last 3 years RNIB received £5,348.58 as result of the sponsorship given by friends and colleagues - including matched giving by the Abbey Charitable Foundation. My previous fund raising pages are still online.
