We did it!  The Great River Race 2010 went ahead (almost) as planned on Saturday 25 September.  In the face of the strongest winds in the competition’s 23 year history, we completed the 22 mile course from Docklands to Ham in 3hrs 8mins 20sec with only a couple of collisions and a bit of industrial language!  According to the results, we started in position 302, overtook 151 boats and, after adjusting for our 54 minute handicap, finished in 205^th place out of 339 boats.  Proof of our participation is attached and, yes we are wearing chef’s hats...

 

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has sponsored us for this event, Home-Start Guildford is thrilled at how much money has been raised for them.
