Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We are attempting the first carbon neutral crossing of Greenland by sailing across the North Atlantic and then traversing the ice cap on foot (about 300 miles). We will also be carrying out climate change research for the Bristol Glaciology Centre and raising awareness of climate change among 5,000 pupils in eight partner schools (see www.cne.org for more details).
Since we are going to be dragging our pulks (sledges) for about 300 miles across the Greenland ice cap, we thought it would be a good idea to raise money for charity at the same time. We are supporting Teenage Cancer Trust, not least because one of the founders of CNE, Raoul Surcouf, had to overcome the disease when he was younger. The charity carries out excellent work (see left) so we ask you to donate as much money as you can!
In case you are wondering, all of the money raised through this site will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust - none of it will be used to fund the expedition.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Teenage Cancer Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor us now!
