COCO Climb Kili for Kids 2009 - 30 October to 10 November 2009
WOW! I can't believe that I am actually going to be doing this and to be able to potentially make a difference to so many people’s lives!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, and showing your support for COCO and the fantastic projects they sponsor. For further information on COCO please visit their website; www.coco.org.uk
NOVEMBER 2009 - DONE IT!
I WONT SAY MUCH MORE HERE - EXCEPT IT WAS WORTH IT
Furthermore we had the oportunity to see exactly where our hard earned cash (i.e. your sponsorship) would be spent, and to know that it will be put directly to such good use was really good.
So please sponsor me now, just what you can afford would be greatly appreciated - and all the sweat and tears would have been worth it!
THANK YOU!
SEPTEMBER 2009
Well, not so long now, but I do need your continued support...
The last few months have consisted of work-outs, cycle rides and buying kit in preparation and as the departure approaches - they say though that the altitude is the major issue - the common myth being that fitter people actually find it harder, so I am not over doing it!
Anyway you have taken the trouble of visiting my page and that means that you have by now decided to sponsor me, so please sponsor me now, whatever you can afford because I know it will make such a difference.
Just a small amount will go a long way to helping children living in poverty and with fewer opportunities than most of us in the UK are privileged to have; every £3 we raise will feed another child. Every £10 will mean they can sit at a desk.
Thank you. Greg (04/09/2009)
APRIL 2009
It is six months before we leave the UK to attempt our ascent of Kilimanjaro, I have decided that stepping up the training and improving my general fitness level should start now – although a lot of what I read about trekking Kilimanjaro is more concerned with stamina and being able to overcome the altitude sickness that can effect different people in different ways and with varying severity. Chris Moyles out of all the celebrities who recently climbed Kili, actually suffered least – there is hope for me to succeed yet!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: COCO gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
