Story
I am a trustee of Myeloma UK, a wonderful charity which does incredible work in supporting those who suffer from myeloma, a horrible form of bone marrow cancer.
On 26 April I am running in the London Marathon in an effort to raise money for Myeloma UK. I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me as I puff my way around the course and try my best not to do too much permanent damage.
Anything which you can do to support me and, more importantly, support the amazing work which Myeloma UK undertakes, would really be appreciated.
To make things a bit more interesting, and also because the one thing I love more than running is pointless geeky technology, I will be updating on Twitter live from my marathon run. Twitter is like facebook for short messages, so if you are interested in receiving live updates of human suffering on the day you can follow me at www.twitter.com/gregallon. It only takes a minute to sign up. I'm trying to run it in under three and a half hours, which is an ambitious target for me, so you could well watch me crash and burn.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Myeloma UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I hope you can help.
