1994 was an interesting year for us. I spent the first few months confusing my doctor with a list of vague and, to his mind, seemingly unrelated symptoms.
Eventually I began to have seizures and was fortunate enough to be picked up by a very persistent ambulance woman who insisted that I be taken to a hospital with a CT machine and that I be scanned.
A tumor was found on the left frontal lobe of my brain. It was swiftly removed and found to be benign, by some very clever fellows. I have been in the best of health for the past ten years.

If more research can be funded and more educational outreach programs can be provided, then more neurological stories can have happy endings, like mine.
