Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

You may be wondering how this could possibly be a record breaking swim?  Well... I reckon there can't have been too many attempts to swim from Ryde to Southsea at 6am in June, by a 40 year old bloke called Greg!  So I'll be the first and will be a record breaker!  This is a 5 mile swim across one of the busiest shipping channels in the UK serving both Portsmouth and Southampton and I won't be held responsible for damage to any vessels striking me!

Now for the serious stuff...

I have taken this seriously and have been training all year - starting with the UK Cold Water Championships in water of  just 4 degrees, and swimming in lakes since April - and even Dover Harbour!

Sebastion's Action Trust

Every year, more than one thousand children in the UK are diagnosed with some form of cancer. The demands of that diagnosis have a huge impact on the entire family, not just the patient. It invariably leads to a dramatic loss in family time together, inevitable emotional stress and fatigue affecting all members of the family and possible financial loss, as parents have to juggle work commitments with caring for a sick child.

The Trust's aim is to try to alleviate such pressures on families at a time when they may be at their lowest ebb; exhausted physically, emotionally and financially.  Find out more by visiting www.sebastiansactiontrust.org

I hope you never have the need to seek support from Sebastion's Action Trust
