What? The Grim Challenge is an 8 mile run, crawl and wade through mud, under netting, over hills and back into puddles again all set in the Army vehicle training ground at Aldershot.
Who? The Nickelodeon Grim Challengers are a finely tuned bunch of athletic machines: Rohat, Paul, Nick, Kiaran, James, Henry, Geoff, Chloe, Charlotte and Alex.
Why? We're raising money for the wonderful ChildLine folks through the only means we know how - putting ourselves through a bit of mild torture to keep December interesting.
ChildLine is an amazing charity and provides a free 24 hour counselling service for kids and young people in the UK provided by the NSPCC. ChildLine deals with any issue which causes distress or concern. The service is totally free to the kids who use it. The phones are manned by volunteers, each of whom is trained in how to deal with the myriad of issues that they could be faced with on any given day. The training the volunteers receive and the infrastucture required to run an operation like this all demands cash from somewhere.
We've decided that a little pain for us could make a massive difference for the charity and therefore to the kids who need to use ChildLine.
All we're asking for is a few quid, anything you can afford really, to help provide this amazing service.
The more we raise, the faster we'll go!
