Story
Grow Wild Defibrillator Fundraising Campaign
Grow Wild Outreach are partnering with AEDdonate to raise funds for one mobile defibrillator at their outdoor activities site. This life-saving device will be accessible to anyone in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
Why a Defibrillator at Grow Wild Outreach is So ImportantEach year in the UK, over 30,000 people suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest outside of a hospital. Tragically, 620 of these are under the age of 35, and 270 are children, often while at school, in public places, or at events.
Having a defibrillator on-site, ready to use within the first 3 minutes of an SCA, can increase survival chances to over 80%. That’s why having a defibrillator at Grow Wild Outreach could be the difference between life and death.
How a Defibrillator Will Help the community
Once installed, the defibrillator will be registered with the local ambulance trust and available for 24/7 public use.
This doesn’t replace emergency services. Instead, it provides immediate, potentially life-saving intervention while the ambulance is enroute. The quicker the shock is delivered, the greater the chance of survival.

Who are Grow Wild?
Grow Wild Outreach is a community-based organisation delivering alternative provision and therapeutic outdoor learning for vulnerable young people who are struggling to access mainstream education. Alongside this, we also offer an adult alternative day service provision, supporting individuals who benefit from structured, nature-based activities, wellbeing support, and community connection.
Our work takes place across a range of rural and community settings, and we engage with a wide network of young people, adults, families, carers, and partner organisations throughout the local area.
Having access to a mobile defibrillator would be incredibly valuable, not only for our staff and those attending our services, but also for the wider communities we work within. We feel our provision is uniquely placed to help deliver this kind of life-saving emergency response and awareness, ensuring that support is available in the spaces and communities where it is often most needed.
