I could hardly run a mile when I started training for the 2006 great north run.  I went on to complete the run in 2 hours 24 minutes.  I started training again for 2007 to find I was almost back to crawling a mile.  Even so I managed to make it in 2 hours 14.  This year I was slightly better when I started back at training but it was still disheartening to find out how far back I'd slipped again.

I know just how hard those hills of Newcastle will be but I'm still having another go!  Who knows this time I may even see the 2 hour mark!
