This cause is very personal to our family. We have a little daughter , Saakshi, who was born with a chronic kidney condition in Dec 2004. She has been under the care of the team at The Evelina Children's Hospital since early January 2005. We have been regular and occassionally, long-term, users of the renal ward, the out-patients clinic and unfortunately, the theatres and ICU wards.

In March 2007, Saakshi had one of my kidneys in a successful transplant and remains under the regular care of the post transplant renal team. We as a family and all those who know the ray of light that is Saakshi, know that we have an enormous debt to the amazing team at The Evelina. This run and your kind sponsorship of me is a small contribution towards helping The Evelina continue to help children to get better.
